Party Time!

It's that time again, yes PARTY TIME, a 136 people had a great time at the Bexley Deaf Club's New Year Eve Party 2001 and it really showed, especially by Jason Taylor, people were getting merry all through the night. People were asked to come in fancy dress for a laugh and what a laugh it was too, Kim and Christopher Morgan came as school kids and acted like ones too. Later on in to the evening there was a fancy dress competition, one for children and one for adults, this was judged by Gerald Stopher from australia and David Powell, for the children Chloe Spurling who was dressed great as Snowhite and won £5, and Jackie Wright for the adults won dressed as an Egyptian won herself £10. Mervyn Wright the chairman was dressed as Henry the VIII but luckily for the women there was no beheading. There were a lot of prizes for the raffle which nearly £200 of products was donated by Christopher Bears and Sarah Shering who also helped out by buying prizes. There was a marvellous Buffet which was created by most of the women from the committee. There were games for adults and children such as musical chairs, School Boy dressed Peter Culver assaulted his dad who was dressed as a gardener while playing musical chairs, as his dad sat down Peter just couldn't take it that he was out and pushed his dad off the chair and sat in his place but was disqualified for unsportsman like conduct but lucky for Peter his dad got up and laughed otherwise he might have been grounded for 1 month without his weekly issue of the Beano. As it got not long from midnight the music was going really well people were jammin' to the beat, the people on the dance floor were copying the moves of the DJ's Carl Lanaway and Jamie Morgan and you should have seen some of those moves and by this time it was like 2 minutes from midnight and suddenly the music just cut off for no reason there was no time to fix it, it was celebration and champagne time for the year 2002, popping poppers time. When all that was over everyone was trying to fix the DJ Gear but it wouldn't work, luckily people were still having a good time regardless of the music. By one am people were going home to their beds. Outside it was freezing all the cars were frosted up badly and lets hope everyone got home safely.
