- Scrabble Competition |
| With
8 entries, only one woman, tried hard to
beat them, but came last! Wayne Baker played
superbly with a comfortable 175 pts and
came first to win £8. Lou Nardi came
second with 137 pts to win £5 and
Narayan Manjeshwar came third with £3.
Everyone enjoyed themselves. Next Scrabble
will be in March 2002. |

Bears is coming to Whitehall Centre on the
next social club on Friday 7th of December
to set up a stall and sell special Christmas
picture of 3D bears and all other products
for home.

- Jonathan Palmer - World Travelling |
|
Jonathan Palmer left UK today for Thailand
from Heathrow for his world travelling,
which may take a year to explore around
the world. He will be in Far East for about
a couple of months before go down to Austrailia,
New Zealand, Hawaill and North America.

-10th Anniversary Celebration BBQ |
| On Saturday
evening 30th June, most of the players and
their supporters from 6-a-side tournament
at Charlton Meridian joined members of the
Bexley Deaf Club for a special barbeque.
The evening was a great success, with a
spread or freshly cooked food, disco, raffles
and good company.

| It was
a dark and gloomy day when the split between
certain Deaf Club members became very obvious.
It was Jonny Palmer trying to dominate Jonathan
Nelson. At first it seemed that it was going
to be a gentlemanly affair, but it soon
became clear that the word 'battle' would
do little to describe what followed as the
two opposing sides lined up to face each
other with their protective wear on, and
their paint guns at the ready.
