MEMBERS FIGHT IT OUT!
It was a dark and gloomy day
when the split between certain
Deaf Club members became very
obvious. It was Jonny Palmer
trying to dominate Jonathan
Nelson. At first it seemed that
it was going to be a gentlemanly
affair, but it soon became clear
that the word 'battle' would
do little to describe what followed
as the two opposing sides lined
up to face each other with their
protective wear on, and their
paint guns at the ready.
After a very short time it
became clear that age has a
few advantages. Jonny Palmers
team may have been a little
slower off the mark, but they
soon got their eye in and proved
to be reasonably good shots
considering their age! The younger
team led by Jonny Nelson took
pity, and allowed themselves
to be hit a few times in order
to pacify their opponents.
After an exhausting day, the
youngsters finally retired,
narrowly beaten by the better(?)
team.
A good day was had by all,
and if we go again then do come
along and join in.
Our congratulation go to David
Foot, who managed to make a
few good scoring hits, including
the hit taken by the instructor
who was the referee. Don't try
this on the football pitch David
'cos not all refs have such
a good sense of humour!
Many thanks to Jonathan Nelson
who organised this event.
